Overview

The IPC Education Foundation’s STEM-in-a-Box Kit initiative delivers a powerful, hands-on introduction to electronics and circuit building for high school students across the country. These ready-to-use kits equip classrooms with all the necessary components to teach students the fundamentals of soldering in a safe, engaging, and educational environment.

By sponsoring this program, your company directly supports the development of future skilled talent in electronics manufacturing and engineering. Students not only build real, functional circuits—they also gain exposure to precision work, critical thinking, and problem-solving, all foundational skills for careers in the electronics industry.

Through guided lessons and teacher-led instruction, students walk away with a deeper understanding of STEM pathways and increased confidence in working with electronic components—potentially preparing them for roles in your future workforce.

  • This initiative is more than just a classroom project—it's a strategic opportunity for industry leaders to:
  • Inspire the next generation of innovators
  • Contribute to meaningful STEM education
  • Align their brand with impactful workforce development

Your support brings real tools and experiences into students’ hands—and your company’s name into their journey.

“In the past years that students have done this activity with IPC in San Diego, students love it! We would like to continue with this activity in coming years and interested in purchasing more kits. It is a perfect way to build confidence in students interested in this industry. Thank you so much for sending us this valuable resource.”

Srijan S

Electrical Engineering student at North Carolina State University

"I have learned a lot from this hands-on solder training session. I would like to have more of this training done at NC State. It will be helpful if the next session is about PCB Design."

Phillip S.

Workforce Development Director - Commercial Leap Ahead for Wide Bandgap Semiconductors (CLAWS)

"The look of accomplishment on their faces when everything worked perfectly- that's what makes these workshops worthwhile. Seeing every single participant successfully light up their LED project was highlight of the day"
