The fall semester is off to a strong start for Electronics Foundation student chapters across the country! From kickoff meetings to guest speakers and campus fairs, students are finding new ways to connect with the electronics industry, build leadership skills, and grow their campus communities. Here’s a look at some recent highlights:
The Auburn Electronics Foundation Chapter kicked off the new school year with fresh energy and excitement. Students came together to meet their new chapter president, Harry Goyal, and set goals for an impactful year ahead. With a strong foundation of leadership and engagement, the Auburn chapter is ready to provide hands-on experiences and networking opportunities for students interested in the electronics industry.
The Michigan Tech Electronics Foundation Chapter welcomed guest speaker Emma, PCB Qualification Engineer at IBM, for an inspiring talk on September 21. Emma shared her career journey, offered insights into PCB qualification, and gave students a first-hand perspective on working in the electronics industry. The event left students motivated and better prepared to pursue careers in STEM.
The Auburn Chapter also represented the Electronics Foundation at the College of Engineering Student Organization Fair. Chapter leaders connected with engineering students across campus, highlighting how involvement in the chapter can open doors to leadership, industry exposure, and career development. Events like this help grow student membership and build excitement for the year ahead.
The Michigan Tech Chapter also participated in the university’s annual K-Day (Keweenaw Day) outreach event, where student organizations gather to meet and engage with new and returning students. The chapter connected with attendees outdoors, shared their mission, and encouraged students to get involved in electronics and engineering opportunities on campus. Events like K-Day showcase how student chapters are building visibility and welcoming the next generation of members.
These events are just the beginning! Electronics Foundation student chapters are creating opportunities for students to explore the electronics industry, develop soft skills, and make connections that last beyond graduation.
Stay tuned for more updates as chapters continue to bring students together and strengthen the bridge between education and industry.
